I forgot to post this earlier!   Reid taught an awesome, but very tough gi class tonight according to Olivia (and she always says how it is).  He will be teaching again this Wednesday during his regularly schedule class.

Chris started the evening out with a 5:30 gi fundamentals class.  He will be teaching a no gi fundamentals class this Thursday at 5:30.

Tuesday night at 6:30 will be instructed by Matt.  Don’t miss out!

Wednesday will start off with Ladies class at 5:30pm taught by Mrs. Erin Hart!  Come prepared for lots of grappling! Next will be Judo with Matt at 6:30pm, and Reid will be ending the evening with a gi class at 7:30pm.

We are really thankful to have awesome instructors/friends/training partners that are willing to step in and cover for us while we are on vacation!  Knowing that classes are in good hands makes our trip so much better!  We hope everyone is taking advantage of the awesome knowledge being dropped!

Chris wins his division!

While Clayton is on vacation and Travis is out of town, Andrew will be dropping some no gi knowledge at the 6:30pm class.  Join Chris at 5:30 for no gi fundamentals! Classes will remain the same while Clay and Lisa are in Colorado. Stay tuned for the instructor line up and don’t miss out on the opportunity to learn from our awesome black belts!

Travis and Clayton signed the lease for the new location!  Along with the new building, we also have a new name!  Academia Jiu-Jitsu is now Manasota Jiu Jitsu. This will be a transition, so here are some questions that have come up:

• When will classes be moved to the new location?
  • Classes will begin at the new location on February 26th, 2018.  Until then classes will go on as usual at the Whitfield Park Loop location.  The Mindbody App will stay updated with the times and location during the transition.
• I paid for 6 months in advance.  Will my purchases with Academia be honored at Manasota Jiu Jitsu?
  • Yes!  The Mindbody account is remaining the same, only the business name and location will be changed.  Any purchases made at Academia will be honored at Manasota Jiu Jitus.
• Will there be a kids class?
  • Yes!  Clayton and Lisa will be starting a kids class on February 26th.  Kids grades Kindergarten through 5th are invited.  Classes will be on Monday and Thursday, 4:30pm-5:30pm.  Teenagers are always welcome to attend the adult classes.
